(NewsDakota.com) In their final game of the 2017 regular season, the Oakes Post 36 American Legion baseball team rallied twice and held off Lisbon Post 7 to win 8-7 Wednesday night.

After trailing 4-0 going to the bottom of the second, Oakes (5-7 Class B Southeast Region) tied the game in the bottom part of the inning, thanks to a three RBI double by Taylor Schall. Lisbon (7-5) added another three in the top of the fourth, and Oakes answered with four in the bottom of the sixth.

In the top of the seventh, Post 7 had the bases loaded and down a run, but grounded into a game-ending 1-2-3 double play.

Tyler Voightman earned the win for Oakes, with Jordan Cunningham earning the save. Kyle Odegaard took the loss for Lisbon, despite striking out 10.

Both teams will be involved in the Class B Southeast Region tournament which starts Wednesday in Enderlin.
