CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – CHI Mercy Hospital CEO Keith Heuser has traveled to Washington, D.C. several times trying to get a better handle on the future direction of healthcare in America.

Heuser talked about his latest visit to the capitol with reporter Steve Urness on July 10th during our Voice of the Valley program.

Heuser visited with members of the North Dakota’s Congressional Delegation and other lawmakers in the capitol to get a better picture of what patients and healthcare providers can expect concerning the future direction of the Affordable Care Act. He said members of congress have changed the name of their healthcare act.

He said right now, everything is up in the air and it take several more months or longer before lawmakers approves legislation that would either dismantle or modify the Affordable Care Act.
