CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Barnes County 4-H Achievement Days was held July 7th and 8th in Valley City.

Barnes County Extension Educator Sue Toppen said the show provides 4-H members with the opportunity to showcase their projects and skills developed throughout the year.

She said some of the projects included baking, woodworking, gardening, drawing, dog obedience and showmanship and showing larger animals too.

The 4-H projects are judged and ribbons awarded in each class. The top exhibitors move on to compete at the North Dakota State Fair later this month in Minot.

The events were held at the Eagles Club and at the North Dakota Winter Show Event Center in Valley City.
