(NewsDakota.com) The Oakes Post 36 American Legion baseball team went 2-1 over the weekend, and took third place at the Enderlin Wood Bat Tournament at Hendrickson Field.

Taylor Schall got the win in a 5-3 victory against LaMoure Post 19 to start the tournament on Friday night. On Saturday, Michael Kelly pitched a gem, not allowing an earned run in a 3-0 loss to Class A East leader Casselton. Sunday, Grayson Roney was the winning pitcher in a 5-4 decision over Langdon. Tyler Voightman picked up the save, and Kelly had a two run homer in the win.

Oakes returns to Class B Southeast Region play on Wednesday night, when they host Lisbon Post 7 in the regular season home finale. Coverage on KDDR-AM 1220/95.9 FM and NewsDakota.com starts at 6:50 p.m., with first pitch at 7.
