N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The first White Cloud Days were held to commemorate the birthday of White Cloud, the legendary albino buffalo who called Jamestown home for over 20 years.
Now, the celebration has become one for the entire community.
Jamestown Tourism Executive Director Searle Swedlund says with the return of White Cloud to the community, individuals are invited to check out the new exhibit and the newly renovated National Buffalo Museum during the two-day festival.
Staple events such as the Jamestown Fire Department’s annual pancake breakfast and the parade will take place, but Swedlund says there are new events to look forward to this year including the grand opening of the 1883 Stutsman County Courthouse, TRAC’s 5K color fun run and the Jamestown Arts Center mini art hunt.
As far as fireworks go, Swedlund says they have over $10,000 worth of a show to put on for the public this year. The show will begin at 10 PM on Tuesday, July 4th at the Stutsman County Fairgrounds.
