N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The cool days of Summer are out the door this week in North Dakota.

The Bismarck National Weather Service reports that beginning today, highs are expected to reach upwards of 90 to 95 degrees in most of the state. Meteorologist Zach Hargrove says the heat is typical for this time of the year.

With the 4th of July holiday, Hargrove reports that there may be some less than favorable conditions in parts of the state.

The heatwave continues after Tuesday with highs estimated to reach between 90 and 101 Wednesday. Hargrove says after that, the heat will remain for the extended forecast.

Hargrove reminds individuals to stay safe in the heat. Drink plenty of water and avoid prolonged sun exposure.
