N.D. (AP) – Authorities say a traffic stop near a small northwestern North Dakota community led to the discovery of a large stash of marijuana.

Berthold Police Chief Al Schmidt says the seizure of 122 pounds of high-grade marijuana is one of the largest busts he’s heard of in North Dakota. Officials say the marijuana has a street value of about $600,000.

The marijuana was found following a traffic stop this week on Highway 2. The man driving the vehicle, as well as two others, were arrested.
