CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – J&S Marketing LLC will be moving into the former Vansco building in a couple of weeks.
The owner John Stearns said his company is growing and needs more space and that’s why they had to find a new place. He said the rumor that his company will be getting a rent break by moving into the building is not true.
Stearns said he’s excited about a new no nicotine product call Java Chew the company is distributing in South Dakota, Minnesota and in Valley City. Stearns said the tobacco free product will be going nationwide from his company in Valley City.
Valley City Barnes County Economic Development Director Jennifer Feist says the Development Corporation owns the building and will spend $75,000 to remodel the structure. She said a loan was secured through Dacotah Bank. She added, no economic development funds will be used for this project.
Feist said another existing business will also be moving into the former Vansco building northwest of Valley City. She said the companies have signed a three year lease with the Valley Development Corporation.
