N.D. (NewsDakota.com) Since last Saturday, Post 25 has played eight games in five days and won all but two, improving their overall record to 11-3 and 9-1 in the Central Region. They played at home on Wednesday night against the Gardner Express, winning both games, 6-1 and 14-1. The three-time defending champs are currently in first place and will resume play on Friday at Carrington City Park against Jamestown. In the first game on Wednesday against Gardner, lead off batter Payton Smith had two hits including two RBI, Drew Page was the winning pitcher on the mound. In the second game, Garrett Bickett was the winning pitcher, Brandon Larson was 3-for-3 with two RBI.
On Monday, Carrington took two from Harwood, 6-4 and 16-1. On Sunday, Carrington split with Mayville, winning 7-0 in the first game, dropping the second game 7-6. Last Saturday, Carrington split with the Bismarck Capitals 15-year olds.
