“Butch” Howard Sadek, 57 passed away at his home in Valley City, ND on June 18, 2017.  He was born July 12, 1959 in Valley City, the son of Curtis J. and Beverly (Hill) Sadek.  He moved to California at the age of one with his family.  Butch spent many years in Rio Linda, CA, working for the school district after high school and later Kaiser Hospital before moving back to North Dakota in the 1990s.  He had worked for the Valley City Public School.  Butch did private lawn care and snow removal and also seasonal road work.

He had a great love for God, family, the elderly and animals.  He had a strong faith in the Lord.  He was a believer and was always eager to bring a new face to church.  Butch had a heart of gold.  It brought great joy to help out others.  He was a man of few words but it always brought a smile to his face when he could sneak a giggle out of one of his nieces or nephews.

Butch is survived by his mother, Beverly, Valley City; two sisters, Cathy Burr and Connie Plecity, both of Valley City; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father and a sister, Crystal Rittenhouse.  Butch will be greatly missed.

A memorial service will be held at 2 pm Friday, June 30, 2017, at New Life Assembly of God, Valley City.

Arrangements are by the Oliver-Nathan Funeral Chapel, Valley City.  An online guestbook is available at www.olivernathanchapel.com.
