CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Members of the National Education Association are concerned about a Trump Administration proposal to cut Billion dollars from the public school system in FY 2018.
NEA State Director Karen Askerooth said this proposal is very concerning to public educational leaders across the nation.
Askerooth said a proposal on transferring vouchers may hurt funding for students with special needs.
Askerooth gave a presentation about the goals of the NEA to the Valley City School board during their regular meeting on June 19th.
She says NEA members will meet in Boston the last week of June to discuss these issues and more during their National Conference.
Askerooth is a teacher in the Valley City Public School District.
