N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Two Rivers Activity Center Facilities Manager Amy Walters says construction is still on course for their September opening date.
During an interview, Walters gave the latest report on construction inside the $28.6 million center. She said continued street paving on 5th Street has sort of slowed progress, but a lot of things were getting done.
Walters says tours will not be offered for a few weeks due to construction work currently ongoing. She says that right now, flooring and the bubble were two big things crews were focused on.
Once the bubble is prepared to be inflated, Walters said they would be sure to inform the community as it will give the facility a whole different look.
Walters says that due to childcare demand in the community, TRAC would be opening their learning center facilities earlier than the Activity Center to help get the children settled in for the school year.
She pointed out that the learning center would be able to support upwards of 60 kids with room for more depending on staff.
Walters also spent some time talking about the different employment opportunities at TRAC. She said at this time, supervisors and herself are working on scheduling and duties. She says they’ll begin the hiring process for the open positions this week.
