CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – A 36 unit apartment complex under construction in Valley City along Winter Show road is nearly complete.

The property is owned by Valley Rental. A company spokeswoman said 4 units will have income guidelines for those who qualify for lower rent due to the Housing Incentive Fund program known as (HIF) offered through the North Dakota Housing Finance Agency.

The 36 unit apartment complex is expected to be ready for prospective renters by the end of August or early September of 2017.

The demand for housing remains high in Valley City due in part to the flood protection buyout program as several properties along the river have been purchased and demolished for permanent flood protection projects.
