CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – A contractor is preparing to demolish the old heat plant on the campus of Valley City State University. 

Motorists are being asked to avoid driving along 2nd Avenue Southeast from the corner of the Facilities Office to the front of the Rhoades Science Center on the campus.

Motorists may want to avoid the area near the old heat plant until the demolition project is complete.
