N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – After increasing outflows at Pipestem Dam Thursday, releases have now been shut back down Friday morning.

Pipestem Manager Bob Martin reports that between June 1st and 15th, it’s critical time for Crappie fish production.

“Game & Fish informed us that this is a critical time for Crappie fisheries, which is what Pipestem Dam is authorized for,” Martin stated.

Flows are now only coming out of the Jamestown Reservoir at 450 cfs. Martin says they will adjust Pipestem once they are out of the critical time for Crappie production.
