N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The North Dakota Game & Fish Department reports that residents will be able to fish for free in North Dakota this weekend only.

Game & Fish Biologist Doug Leier reports that children ages 15 and younger are not required to have a fishing license in North Dakota. For those that are 16 and older, a fishing license is required if you’re going to cast out. But for this weekend only, a license won’t be required at all.

Leier says that the department’s website has a map of some great fishing locations around the state.

There is still time to purchase a fishing licence if you plan to go out any other day or weekend. The cost is just $16 for a licence to fish in North Dakota.
