N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Stutsman County Sheriff’s Department is investigating after a body was found burned inside a vehicle in Streeter, North Dakota late Friday night.

A call came into the department that reported a burned vehicle in Streeter late Friday. When the department responded, they found a body inside.

Stutsman County Sheriff Chad Kaiser says when the individual saw the car, they knocked on the door of the residence and there was no answer. He says it appears that the car had started on fire in front of the home. So far, foul play has not been suspected.

The burned victim has not yet been identified. More will be reported when the autopsy is filed.
