(NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown High baseball team wasn’t projected to go to state as the WDA’s seventh-seed heading into the tournament, but they knocked off a pair of top teams to reach the title game. There they fell in extra-innings to defending Class A champion, Dickinson.
Jamestown will open up the state tournament on Thursday at around 2:30pm against Sheyenne. The Mustangs lost in the state title game a year ago to Dickinson and were seeded 6th in the EDC before knocking off Central 10-0 to reach state again in 2017.
The Jays and Mustangs will play at 2:30pm at Mandan’s Veterans Memorial Ballpark. You can listen to the game on ESPN Jamestown.
