N.D. (NewsDakota.com)- A winless Saturday ended the season for Enderlin/Maple Valley Softball. At The East Region Tournament The Falcon lost to host Hillsboro Central Valley 9-0 and then dropped a close one to May Port CG 7-5. EMV’s final record was 16-10.
Game 1: HCV 9 EMV 0
The Burros registered 9 runs on 8 hits and had a big 6 run 4th. The Falcons had their chances, they collected 5 hits while stranding 8 base runners. Kelsey Marschke, Allison Bartolomay, Katelyn Tingley, Miranda Skramstad and Danica Wendel each had hits for EMV. Laura Spurgeon and Karlee Johnson both brought home 3 runs for HCV.
Bartholomay pitched 3.1 innings in the loss, Caitlyn Stuart had the complete game win.
Game 2: MPCG 7 EMV 5
The Patriots jumped out to a 4-0 lead and The Falcons were left play catch up the rest of the game. Down 7-3 in the final inning EMV score a pair but couldn’t find the tying run. Allison Bartolomay got 2 hits with a triple and 2 RBIs. Kayla Tingley produced a run scoring hit.
Katelyn Tingley and Allison Bartolomay both pitched in the game.
