N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Jamestown Tourism has its work cut out for them this summer.

Executive Director Searle Swedlund and company will have many different things they can promote in the community that will be new for residents and tourists alike. Swedlund reports that several area magazines have already highlighted the community and some its offerings.

Another magazine called “North Dakota Horizons”, focused on the new Talking Trails that were installed in the community. Swedlund pointed out that even though tourism season hasn’t yet begun fully, the Talking Trails have already been utilized.

These aren’t the only things that Jamestown will have to offer up this year. Among the newest offerings is the 1883 Stutsman County Courthouse.

Swedlund also made mention of the newly renovated National Buffalo Museum and the new Hansen Arts Park that will provide a unique experience to both new and returning tourists.

Swedlund also stated that the classic Dakota Thunder, the large buffalo monument, will also continue to be a draw. He talked about the latest efforts that are being undertaken to help pay for renovations to the sculpture. A story will be posted on that tomorrow.
