N.D. (NewsDakota.com)- In the last regional game of the season EMV softball fell to No.2 Central 15-0. With the loss The No.10 Falcons will get the 5th seed in the region with a 5-5 record, The Squirrels at 9-1 will be seeded 2nd. The East Region Tournament begins Saturday in Hillsboro. 

 

 

Game 1: Central Cass 15  EMV 0 (5 innings)

Central Cass jumped out to an early 4-0 lead and blew the game open with a 7 run 4th inning. The squirrels held The Falcons to 7 hits. Danica Wendel was 2 for 2 with Georgina Orn, Allison Bartolomay, Katelyn Tingley and Miranda Skramstad reaching safety with hits. 

Bartholomay started in the circle lasting 3.2 innings. Kayla Tingley pitched 1.1 of relief 

Game 2: Central Cass 7  EMV 2 (5 innings)

Tied at 2 after the first inning The Squirrels scored 5 unanswered runs to take the non region game. Georgina Orn had an RBI double and Madison Olson went 2 for 3 with an RBI. Kayla Tingley pitched 5 innings with 3 strike outs.
