N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The award winning Hansen Arts Park will begin it’s pavilion construction this summer.

Arts Director Cyndi Wish states that the park received the North Dakota Flint Firestarter award for their park earlier this year.

Wish says that work is continuing in the Arts Park and now that temperatures are above 50 consistently, the stage work can commence when sculptor Owen William Fritts is ready.

The stage is different than what was formerly proposed due to costs.

The artist rendering shows the new stage covered by a hollowed-out boulder. The boulder will be built with aluminum framework and be mesh covered. Wish reports that the project must be completed by Mid-July.
