N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Two homes were evacuated today in Sanborn as a precaution after an anhydrous ammonia field tank began to leak near the old elevator in Sanborn around 6:15am.

Barnes County Sheriff Randy McClaflin said a faulty valve caused the tank to leak. Fire and Rescue crews contained the leak. No injuries were reported in the May 11th incident.
