N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The AAUW Bookstore and Dakota Store have a new location in Jamestown.

After closing in the Buffalo Mall, members of AAUW Jamestown spent time seeking a new location for their bookstore. Jamestown Member Kelly Krein states that the partnership with Deb Lee and the Dakota Store will hopefully bring in new people.

The store, which is located on 601 First Avenue South, is a non-profit run entirely by volunteers. The Dakota Store sells products made in North Dakota including foods, clothing and books.

30 percent of the cost to operate the organization is covered by the store and the other 30 is raised with their annual Baskets, Bags and Bubbly fundraiser.

Krein states that their inventory isn’t as big as it’s been in the past, but they will be able to stay open longer now.

The new location had a soft opening earlier this week and will officially be open today. Call 701-952-9684 for more information.
