N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Governor Doug Burgum has proclaimed this week as Travel and Tourism Week in North Dakota to highlight the importance of the industry, which supports more than 42,000 jobs in the state.

North Dakota Tourism Director Sara Otte Coleman said, “As part of the state’s third-largest industry, the work we do to attract and host visitors helps diversify our economy and sustain and grow our communities.”

Earlier this year, Sheyenne Valley Byway Leader Bobby Koepplin’s was one of the recipients of the Travel and Tourism Leadership Award for his work promoting tourism in the region.
