N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The University of Jamestown softball team is headed to the NAIA national tournament for the first time in 25 years. The Jimmies will play next week in Sioux City, IA.

The opening round tournament is four-team double elimination. The Jimmies, seeded 3rd, will play Reinhardt (GA) in the first round on Monday at 2pm.

In the second game, top-seed and host Morningside will play No. 4-seed Ottawa (Kan.) at 4:30pm.

Bellevue was the only other North Star team to receive a bid to the opening round and they are the three-seed in the Oklahoma City bracket.
