N.D. (NewsDakota.com)- Enderlin/Maple Valley held on for to win their final two regular season home games Tuesday night. The Falcons topped Northern Cass 3-2 and 9-7. With the wins EMV is 14-5, they travel to Mayville to play Grafton and May-Port CG Saturday.
Game 1: EMV 3 Northern Cass 2
It was a pitchers duel with both starters going the distance. Falcon’s starter Katelyn Tingley scattered 7 hits without allowing an earned run. She struck out 6 while walking 2. Molly Bohn allowed 6 hits and 3 earned runs while striking out 3 and walking 4.
The Falcons were down 2-1 until the bottom of the 6th. Allison Bartholomay hit a home run to lead off the inning tying the game at 2. The winning run scored when Katelyn Tingley came home on a wild pitch.
Bartholomay had 2 hits and 2 RBIs. Katelyn Tingley went 2 for 3. Raeann Murray and Jessica Wentzel had RBIs for The Jaguars.
Game 2: EMV 9 Northern Cass 7
Leading 9-1 The Falcons held on after 6 unanswered run from The Jaguars. Katelyn Tingley had a double and 3 RBIs for EMV. Sydney Baarstad drove in a pair of runs. Kaylie Schelecht got the win lasting all 5 innings.
