Coach’s Comments
Sheyenne is last year’s state champions that didn’t graduate anyone and they played like it today. They are stout up and down the line-up.
Cali changed her game on the spot in doubles and kept the racket in front with little movement that led to more volleys being cleanly hit.
Reagan worked her tail off in singles running balls down and getting her feet set which led to good tennis.
Angela got two games off a great player. Also, it was great seeing her with Kallie as they might play together come team regional tournament.
Kallie and Katie are getting more consistent with their ground strokes and are moving towards the net which is leading to good things.
Hannah played by far the best #4 in the state and won two games. In doubles, she is poaching and putting away balls.
Kayla and Maisie played 5 and 6 singles today with Breanna McDonald and Hannah Aberle out. This was a great experience for them as they saw stiff competition. It was Maisie’s first varsity match.
The JV went 6-1 on the day. Hope and Lexia were beats at the net, poaching an putting balls away. Bianca and Paige started a little rough, but figured out where to be on the doubles court and how to communicate with each other. Rose and Alexa started moving into their volleys which upped their game.
