N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Support for Jamestown Regional Medical Center just keeps growing. And growing.
JRMC’s Auxiliary Plant Sale is set for Monday, May 15. The Auxiliary will sell geraniums, tomatoes and other filler plants for $5 each. All proceeds benefit JRMC’s Cancer Center. The event begins at 7:30 a.m. and lasts until the plants are gone.
This is the Auxiliary’s 15th year holding the event.
“It takes a lot of people to make the community successful,” said Eunice Sahr, Auxiliary member and one of the Plant Sale organizers. “We feel like we’re making a difference.”
Auxiliary members serve as ambassadors between the hospital and the community through increased community awareness, health-related education and fundraising initiatives. They conduct events, host speakers, create handcrafted items as well as other activities. To date, the Auxiliary has raised more than $42,000 for the JRMC Cancer Center. Of JRMC’s $1.5 million goal, the Foundation has raised more than $840,000.
The 40 Auxiliary members meet the first Monday of each month. If interested in volunteer opportunities, call (701) 952-4880 or visit www.jrmcnd.com/volunteer.
