N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – A controlled burn Sunday near Buchanan spread into some brush causing a grass fire.

The Jamestown Rural Fire Department was called out after 1 PM to 8394 21st Street Southwest North of Jamestown after fire in a burn pit caught some brush on fire. The fire spread, but did not make it to a structure. There was no loss and no injuries.

Five trucks and 10 firefighters were on scene for roughly an hour and a half. The fire danger Sunday was high according to the Stutsman County website.
