N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Jamestown High School Freshmen will be tasked with a scenario to complete their Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) training on May 4th.
This will mark the seventh year of the program inside the Jamestown High School.
Stutsman County Emergency Manager Jerry Bergquist reports that the annual simulation will complete the student’s training in CERT. Since it first began, CERT has trained approximately 834 students in the Jamestown Public Schools.
Jamestown Drama students will act as victims of the simulated disaster. Bergquist pointed out that the program in Jamestown has also gained national attention.
A “graduation ceremony” will be held before the exercise on May 4th at the Jamestown High School.
