N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown Fire Department responded to a couple of calls over the weekend.

According to reports, the department responded Saturday to a kitchen fire at 420 3rd Avenue Northeast. Items on the stove were burning and crews say the fire was extinguished by the residents. The department made sure the fire was out and extracted the smoke. No injuries were reported.

 On Sunday afternoon just after 1 PM, a grass fire was reported at the river bank in Klaus Park. A small grass patch was burned. No cause was immediately determined and no injuries were reported. Crews were on scene for around 30 minutes.
