N.D. (NewsDakota.com)- Jacob Johnson brought home the winning run with a single in the bottom of the 7th inning to give Enderlin/Maple Valley an 8-7 win over Central Cass. The win was The Falcons 3rd in a row and 2nd of the day, they beat Oakes 4-1 earlier in the afternoon.

After a back and fourth start to the game EMV took the lead in the bottom of the 4th. Nathan Amerman plated Jade Pulkrabek and Dustin Kasowski with a single to make it 5-3. Central Cass scored in the top of the 6th and The Falcons answered back with 2 in the home half of the inning running the score to 7-4 with an inning to play.

In the top of the 7th The Squirrels drew a 2 out walk to start their rally. They then got a single, double and triple and produced the tying run forcing a bottom half of the inning. Garret Finger pinch hit and was walked on five pitches, he went on to swipe 2nd and 3rd. Johnson was able to put the ball over the head of Central Cass’s second basemen for the game winner.

Brandon Utke was the winning pitcher after getting the final out of the 7th. Starter Peter Lindgren went 4 inning with 6 strike outs surrendering 6 hits and 3 runs, 2 were earned. Garret Prante took the loss in relief.

Peter Lindgren went 2 for 3 with a home run and 2 RBIs. Dustin Kasowki and Jade Pulkrabek also had 2 hit games.
