CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com)- The Valley City State Track and Field Team travels to Jamestown Saturday for the Al Cassell Relays. Last weekend The Vikings took part in The Lyle Hokanson Classic in Fargo with select athletes competing at The Sioux City Relays.

In Fargo there were 12 top 15 finishes with Garret Roemmich getting a third-place finish in men’s javelin and Seri Geisler also taking third in the women’s javelin. Dennis Gonzalez won the men’s 10k in Sioux City with the 3rd fastest time in school history, he was named NSAA Track Athlete of the week. VCSU has produced several national qualifiers this season something head coach Chris Johnson says is no easy task 

 

After Saturday’s meet The Vikings will shift they attention to The NSAA Championships May 11th and 12th. Johnson will look to get everyone some rest

The Al Cassell Relays begin at 10:30am Saturday morning.
