N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The 2017 North Dakota Legislative Session is over.
Lawmakers met for 77 days. Under North Dakota law the legislature has 80 days to meet every other year. Legislative leaders wanted to leave a few days to go back and make adjustments if needed next year.
Legislators struggled to balance the budget following a downturn in the state’s economy. $13.6 billion in total spending was approved compared to $14.2 billion two years ago.
