N.D. (NewsDakota.com) With the rough spring weather lately, spring sports teams around the area are struggling to get their games/meets in, it’s no different for the Cardinal Boys Golf Team. One of their meets was to be held yesterday, April 25th in Hankinson, but that has been rescheduled for this Friday. Also, there is a scheduled meet in Hillsboro tomorrow, but snow is impacting the area right now (April 26th), so there is a 50/50 chance of that happening. First year Head Coach, Brady Morgan, says that his team is still practicing in the cold weather but it’s hard to adjust:
Morgan talks about expectations this year:
Morgan, originally from Pelican Rapids, Minnesota, talks about the Carrington Golf Course:
Morgan also teaches high school math and lives with his wife, Alissa, in Carrington since last July.
On April 10th, the Boys Varsity participated in the 2017 Oak Grove Golf Meet, they finished in sixth place. Sophomore Trace Beumer finished in the top 10, shooting a 92 and good for eighth place. The first home meet is scheduled in Carrington on Friday, May 12th.
