N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – A Wishek man and Zap woman were injured after a collision Sunday evening west of Mandan.

The Highway Patrol reports that 29 year-old Daniel Jurief of Wishek was traveling westbound when he attempted to enter the left lane to cross the median and continue eastbound on I-94. 33 year-old Chasity Johnson of Zap was merging into the left lane and was struck by Jurief’s vehicle.

Jurief entered the median and rolled. He was transported to Sanford Hospital. Johnson drove off the roadway on the north side. She was transported to St. Alexius Hospital and faces charges of care required and Driving Under Suspension.

The crash remains under investigation by the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
