CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com)- Following a 1-3  start to the season Valley City softball looks to get back on track Tuesday with Grand Forks Central coming to town for VCHS’s first home game of the year. The opening week of the season started with a split against Red River Tuesday, they lost the first game 4-3 and won the 2nd 5-0. On Friday they drop two games to The West Fargo Packers 13-0 and 15-3. In those 4 games The Hi-Liners were outscored 32-11. Through their first round of live pitching coach Jason Lindgren says there’s been one message he’s stressed to his players about their at bats 

The Knights went winless to start their year, against West Fargo their lost 2 and fell to Devils Lake and East Grand Forks. Their games set for Monday against Hillsboro/Central Valley were rescheduled due to weather. Central has face their struggles in the early season as well, over 4 games they have managed 9 runs well allowing 35. Pregame starts around 4:15 with first pitch at 4:30 on KOVC and NewsDakota.com.
