N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Stutsman County Community Health Partnership Coalition has designated the week of April 10th through the 13th as Drug Take Back for residents looking to dispose of unwanted or expired drugs.

Central Valley Health Unit Administrator Robin Iszler states that sometimes residents don’t know where to take their unused or expired drugs to dispose of and the Take Back event will assist with that.

Residents can always dispose of their medications at three locations in Jamestown; White Drug Pharmacy at 320 10th Street SE, Medicine Shoppe Pharmacy at 703 1st Ave. S, or the Stutsman County Law Enforcement Center.

Iszler says safe disposal is important to prevent potential exposure to others.

Iszler says tablets and caplets, inhalers, nebulizers and controlled substances will be accepted. Illegal drugs, syringes, non-medication supplies and glass will not be accepted.

Drug Take Backs are not set for certain days. Locations across North Dakota will accept unused medical drugs at anytime. For more information you can contact Central Valley health at 701-252-8130.
