N.D. (NewsDakota.com)- Pete Lindgren combined for 3 hits and 4 RBIs to lead Enderlin Maple Valley over Oak Grove in a pair of wins Thursday night. The Falcons ended the first game in 5 innings with a 10 run 13-3 victory. They outlasted The Grovers 3-1 in the 2nd game to earn their 1st sweep of the season. Next up for EMV is a road series against LaMoure-Litchville/Marion. 

 

Game 1: EMV 13 Oak Grove 3 (5 innings)

Peter Lingren went 2 for 3 with a 3 run home run, double and 4 RBIs to lead a Falcon offensive out pour. EMV scored 4 in the 1st, 6 in the 2nd and 3 in the 3rd to end the game early on the 10 run rule. Dustin Kasowski, Chance Bye, Brandon Utke and Jade Pulkrabek each had 2 hits. Kasowski had a triple and Pulkrabek 2 runs batted in. 

Starter Nathan Amerman got the complete game, he scattered 9 hits with 3 earned runs along with 6 punch outs.

Game 2: EMV 3 Oak Grove 1 (5 innings)

Pulkrabek added 2 more hit on the day and Lane Combs and Logan Mulder each knocked in a run to help The Falcons finish the sweep. Lindgren was 1 for 2 with a run. 

Chance Bye allowed 1 earned run in 5 innings of work. He registered 6 strike outs.
