G. Cole, 57, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 7, 2017 at Sanford Hospital in Fargo, surrounded by her family.  Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, April 11 at 10:30 AM at St. Thomas Catholic Church in Buffalo, ND.  Burial will take place at the Page Cemetery at a later date.

Monday from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM, visitation will be held in the church with a prayer service beginning at 7:00 PM.

Barbara was born on September 16, 1959 in Jamestown, ND; she was the 9th of 14 children born to Clifford and Madeline (Kroeger) Baumann.  She graduated high school from North Central of Barnes, Rogers, ND.  She was an accounting technician for several years.  After becoming a Certified Bookkeeper/Tax Preparer, she opened her own business in Enderlin, ND.

Barbara was united in marriage to Tom Cole, on November 23, 1979 in Sanborn, ND.  She and Tom had two children, Adam and Aaron, and lived in Valley City, Page, Wahpeton and Beulah, and eventually made their home in Buffalo, ND.

Barbara was an active church member and belonged to St. Thomas Catholic Church of Buffalo.  Over the years, she enjoyed playing co-ed softball with her husband, Tom, darts, occasional trips to the casino and spending time with family and friends.  She touched the lives of many with her humor, wit and compassion.  Barbara was a devoted and loving wife and mother and was so proud to be “Grammy” to her three grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Tom of Buffalo; two children, Adam (Sheena) of Bismarck, ND, and Aaron of Buffalo; three grandchildren, Avery, Eleanor, and Anson; mother Lynn (Kroeger) Baumann of Valley City, ND; brothers: Benard (Cyndee), Robert (Judy), Steven, Gary (Jan), Jay (Terrie), and Brent; sisters: Julie Franklin, Jean Swenson, Mary (Edward) Hollingshead, Darlene Marcotte, Kathleen Filagia, Lori (Steven) Hoppe, and Terilyn Blotske; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father (Clifford P. Baumann), father-in-law (Wayne Cole) and her grandparents; 4 brothers-in-law (Steve Marcotte, Lyle Franklin, John John Blotske, and Lynn Paulson); and one niece (Kalylee Baumann).
