Head Coach Greg Hoeckle, in his 27th year, says the girls are a mostly Senior dominated team:

Hoeckle states that the boys are younger, Bryce Edland is the only Senior:

Construction of a new elementary school and gymnasium have just started on the school grounds, so there will be no home track meets for the next couple of years in Carrington:

Coach Hoeckle has also been nominated as a finalist for the National High School Athletic Coaches Association national coach of the year in the sport of track:

Hoeckle’s teams have won nine girls state championships and four runner-ups, including a runner-up finish last year.  The boys have finished runner-up once and in third place once as well.  Eight finalists from across the nation will be honored during The National Coach of the Year Awards Banquet which will take place at the National High School Athletic Coaches Association’s national convention at the Embassy Suites in East Peoria, IL on the evening of June 21, 2017.  For COTY complete story, click on link below.
