N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Spiritwood Energy Park Association Board met during their quarterly meeting Thursday, March 30th.
Minnesota Soybean Processors, who will be building a $240 million soybean meal, oil and bio-diesel plant in Spiritwood, was discussed. The board talked about measurements for their proposed lot at the park. JSDC Executive Director Connie Ova says they would be measuring the lot out in the week.
The board discussed the possibility of planting the lot until the project construction began in the fall. It was also discussed if it was not planted, who would take care of weeds. The issue will be discussed at a later time.
Jeff Zueger with Dakota Spirit Ag later talked about a backup issue on the road next to the plant.
Other items discussed were audit review, section line easement and having tenants of the park on the SEPA Board. That motion was denied.
Below are plans for the lot agreement. The soybean plant will locate inside Lot 1.
