N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown Fire Department has released their run report for the days between March 2nd and 23rd this year.

According to the latest numbers provided by Jamestown Fire Chief Jim Reuther, 64 total calls for service have been received in the year so far. Some of the calls in the recent report include fire-sprinkler activation at Wal-Mart, carbon dioxide alerts, and several fire alarm activations.

Call No. 53 March 5th, 12:34PM, ready squad responded to 1104 25th St SW, Edgewood Senior Living, to investigate fire alarm activation. Firefighters checked for smoke/fire none was detected. Cause-accidental alarm activation. Fire alarm was reset. Time out 25 minutes.

Call No. 54 March 8th, 5:33AM, ready squad responded to 1324 6th St NW, Single Family Dwelling, to investigate fire alarm activation. Firefighters checked for smoke/fire none was detected. Cause-faulty detector. Fire alarm was reset. Time out 55 minutes.

Call No. 55 March 8th, 12:29PM, ready squad responded to 2511 Circle Drive, NDSH-Building 16 West, to investigate fire alarm activation. Firefighters checked for smoke/fire none was detected. Cause-accidental alarm activation. Fire alarm was reset. Time out 15 minutes.

Call No. 56 March 10th, 12:20PM, ready squad responded to 1406 6th Ave SE, Single Family Dwelling, to check for carbon monoxide. Firefighters analyzed for carbon monoxide and 189 ppm was detected. Occupant was advised to leave the windows open until the levels are down. Cause-vehicle running in the garage. Time out 40 minutes.

Call No. 57 March 10th, 5:29PM, fire department rescue responded to I-94 Mile Marker #256, to a report of person/s trapped in a vehicle. Firefighters extricated (1) person from vehicle and assisted EMS. No other injuries reported. Time out 45 minutes.

Call No. 58 March 15th, 10:54PM, fire department hazmat responded to 720 4th Ave SW, to a report of natural gas leaking. Firefighters and police officers evacuated the area until Montana Dakota Utilities arrived on scene to stop the leak. Cause-vehicle hit the natural gas meter on the house. No firefighter injuries reported. Time out 35 minutes.

Call No. 59 March 16th, 12:38AM, ready squad responded to 2422 20th St SW, Jamestown Regional Medical Center, to investigate fire alarm activation. Firefighters checked for smoke/fire none was detected. Cause-smoking. Fire alarm was reset. Time out 50 minutes.

Call No. 60 March 16th, 6:31PM, ready squad responded to 611 14th St SE, Single Family Dwelling, to investigate smoke alarm activation. Firefighters checked for smoke/fire none was detected. Cause-cooking. Smoke alarm was reset. Time out 15 minutes.

Call No. 61 March 22nd, 6:25PM, ready squad responded to 311 4th St SW, Single Family Dwelling, to investigate a strange odor. Firefighters checked for fire/smoke none was detected. Cause-unknown. Time out 30 minutes.

Call No. 62 March 22nd, 6:55PM, ready squad responded to 921 25th St SW, Wal-Mart, to investigate fire sprinkler activation. Firefighters checked for smoke/fire none was detected. Cause-broke water pipe on the sprinkler system. Manager was advised to put fire watch in place until the system was repaired. Time out 40 minutes.

Call No. 63 March 23rd, 9:10PM, ready squad responded to 905 6th Ave NE, Single Family Dwelling, to investigate gas smell. Firefighters checked the structure and was unable to detect the smell. Cause-unknown. Time out 30 minutes.

Call No. 64 March 24th, 5:08AM, ready squad responded to 501 19th St NE, Multi Family Dwelling, to investigate fire alarm activation. Firefighters checked for smoke/fire none was detected. Cause-accidental alarm activation. Fire alarm was reset. Time out 30 minutes.
