N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The North Dakota Local Technical Assistance Program (NDLTAP) will be in Jamestown to provide information and training on truck weight.
The NDLTAP is a subsidiary of the Upper Great Plains Transportation Institute and North Dakota State University. Leanna Emmer is a Technical Resource Rep and Truck Weight Expert who will be providing the hour long course in Jamestown.
Emmer says the course will help teach drivers what weight limits are on North Dakota Highways and how they can calculate if they are over or under the limit.
The courses are a hands-on opportunity for area drivers who want more information. It will also share the NDLTAP’s weight calculator, which has been beneficial to state drivers. Emmer pointed out that it appears that most who participate in the course do so because they want to drive legal.
Deadline to register for the course is March 24th. The class will be held on March 31st at the North Dakota Farmers Union Offices in Jamestown. Find more information here.
