CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) The Valley City School District is working to finalizing their five year strategic plan.
Superintendent Josh Johnson said the district will gather public input and hold more meetings to discuss the direction before a final plan is approved this summer.
Johnson said a meeting to discuss the plan will be held on Monday, April 3rd at 5pm in the board meeting room. Public input is encouraged.
In other news, the school district continues to work on their 10 year facilities maintenance plan. A big part of that plan includes scheduling building repairs, remodeling, maintenance, equipment upgrades, security and safety needs for all buildings.
The Valley City School district hired Facilities Consultant Thomas Beck. He said district buildings are exceptionally maintained but in need of major heating and cooling system upgrades.
