E. Anderson, 79, Valley City, North Dakota died Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at the Sheyenne Care Center, Valley City with family by her side.

Jean Esther Schiebe was born October 2, 1937 at home in Dickey, North Dakota, the daughter of Walter C.H. and Irene M. (Klug) Schiebe.  She attended school in LaMoure, North Dakota and began working in the candy store in LaMoure before moving to Jamestown, North Dakota where she worked at Parkway Café.  She then moved to Valley City and met Lorren Anderson and later married.  Jean worked at Dakota Drug in Valley City for 35 years where she worked as a buyer of the gift department and display designer.  She began living at the Sheyenne Care Center in March 2012.

Jean was a member of Faith Lutheran Church.

She is survived by four children, Brenda Anderson, Goldsboro, North Carolina; Lorren Anderson, Jr., wife Ann and children Ian and Eric, all of Taylor Falls, Minnesota; Daniel Anderson, wife Judy and children Alison and Mark, all of Valley City; Boyd Anderson, wife Kathy of Jamestown and their son Blake (Laura) of Pelican Rapids, Minnesota; and Karen Flynn’s children, Lindsay Flynn and her son Paxton of Fargo, North Dakota and Jeffrey Flynn, Iowa City, Iowa.

Jean was preceded in death by her husband and longtime friend, Lorren, her daughter, Karen Flynn, parents, a brother Gerald and three sisters, Blanche, Darlene and Lucille.

The memorial service will be held 10:30 am Monday, March 13 at Faith Lutheran Church, Valley City.  Visitation will be one hour before the service at the church.
