FORKS (NewsDakota.com)- EKM never trailed in their final game of the season beating Glen Ullin-Hebron 46-35 in The 7th Place Game of The Class B Girls Basketball Tournament in Grand Forks. The Region 3 Champion Rebels finish the year with a 22-8 record. Glen Ullin-Hebron posted a 16-11 record with a Region 3 Title.Seniors Allison Giesler and Tabby Kinzler played the final games of their Rebel careers.

EKM opened the game on a 4-0 run and push their lead to 12-2. Glen Ullin-Hebron came back with a 6 point charge and cut the game to 12-8 before Katie Schiele made a basket as time expired to put her team up 14-8 through 8 minutes of play. In the 2nd quarter both teams combined for 13 points. The Rebels had the 21-14 advantage at halftime. Trailing 31-23 heading into the final quarter The Bearcats managed to cut their deficit to 31-27 but could get no closer.

From the field EKM hit 28% and Glen Ullin-Hebron 23%. Tallie Hanson scored 11 points and pulled down 7 rebounds to pace The Rebels. Katie Entzi had 9 points. Allison Giesler and Katie Schiele 8 and Tabby Kinzler 2. The Bearcats got a double double from Kennedy Zuroff with 13 points and 10 boards, teammate Kiana Schaaf had 8 points and 9 rebounds.
