FORKS (NewsDakota.com)- The Region 3 Champion Edgeley-Kulm-Montpeiler Rebels will open play in The NDHSAA Class B Girls’ Basketball Tournament Thursday. The Rebels clinched their spot in the tournament with a 51-42 overtime against Carrington Friday. EKM goes into the tournament unseeded and drew 2nd seeded and unbeaten Kindred. The Vikings kept their season perfect beating Tri-State 63-54 in the Region 1 championship. Thursday will be the 1st meeting between the team’s, EKM head coach Megan Cleveland feels her Rebels match up well with Kindred
EKM and Kindred play in the 1st game of the tournament beginning at 1pm,pregame starts around 12:45 live from The Alerus Center in Grand Forks on Ted FM 98.3FM/102.7 FM and NewsDakota.com. Winner plays in the semifinals Friday at 6:30, losing team plays at 1pm in the consolation semis.Opponents will be either Park River/Fordville- Lankin or Grant County High School.
