CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) Two people face felony charges in Barnes County stemming from an incident on Saturday, February 25th.
According to the news release when deputies arrived on scene they encountered a man and a woman after responding to a report of a suspicious vehicle in the area of 28th Street Southeast and 130th Avenue Southeast around 7pm.
19 year-old Shalee Youngbird of Bismarck had a warrant for her arrest and the man she was with refused to identify himself and ran from the deputies. Later, deputies arrested 28 year-old Cody Haakenson of Rochester, Minnesota.
Haakenson faces a felony Theft of Property charge a C Felony and a felony Simple Assault of an Emergency Worker charge and preventing arrest an A Misdemeanor charge.
Youngbird was charged with felony Theft of Property a C Felony and Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle-A Misdemeanor.
Both remain in custody in the Barnes County Correctional Center. Their next court appearance is set for April 11th.
